Good agricultural practices in cultivation and processing of vegetables was on focus of a two-day study visit in Albania recently organized for the women producers and processors of the cooperative “Krusha e Madhe”.

The visit in Shkodra and Divjaka regions provided an opportunity for the participants to closely see the cultivation of vegetables in both open fields and greenhouses, learn about greenhouse technologies that produce more and higher quality output, how wholesale fruit and vegetable markets are organized, and how processing is done up to the final step of packaging.

The visit was organized by the collection center Agrocelina, as part of its ongoing collaboration with the women’s cooperative “Krusha e Madhe” and supported by PPSE.
