Meet Wander Adventures, a tour operator in Kosovo who offers throughout the year outdoor experiences and activities. The packages of this company are varied and full of adrenaline, offering hiking in the Accursed Mountains, daily tours around Kosovo with 4x4 vehicles to experience the wildlife and winter tours in Kosovo and North Macedonia, exploring skiing centres or adventures along the Albanian riviera. 

Wander Adventures joined the Kosovo market in 2017. A group of outdoor enthusiasts, all from Peja, first got together to offer touristic experiences to international tourists, and logistics support to organizations in the country. 

Since then, the company has become one of the most active tour operators in the country, focusing on new ways to develop the local economy through activities that sustainable and responsible for the nature. 

Apart from organized tours, Wander Adventures has expanded its activity with a shop where they sell or rent winter sports’ gear, such as ski-touring, an activity that is included in their offer along with paragliding and skiing courses in Peja.

All tours and activities are led by professional and certified guides. “Due to the nature of our activities, we are strict with regards to taking safety measures and required interventions,” says Bardhosh Morina from Wander Adventures. 

“One of the most liked itineraries we offer is ski-touring in pristine nature, where we reveal the best potential of our region: high mountains, open planes, perfect snow conditions and traditional guesthouses,” says Bardhosh. “This adventure experience includes the itinerary of ‘Peaks of the Balkans’ and the trail between Kosovo and Montenegro, which we combine with the Sharri Mountains in the southern part of Kosovo.” 

According to Bardhosh, tourists really like the characteristics of our mountains and the local culture. 

Wander Adventures has collaborated with the Municipality of Peja and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation through the Promoting Private Sector Employment project. Through this collaboration, the company was engaged in increasing accommodation capacities in Peja and offering camping. Through this collaboration, they built a hostel with a capacity of thirty-seven beds distributed in sixteen camping tents. 

“This is a new touristic commercial product that we offer to local visitors, to visitors from the Diaspora and international tourists,” says Bardhosh. In addition to this product, the company is intensively engaged in promoting the products and the region using online tools.
