Via Ferrata Deçan, your pass to spectacular views of Accursed and Sharr mountains

The town of Deçan and its surrounding are no stranger to locals, who for a very long time now have considered it as the perfect location to place their camping tents and reside on for weeks and sometimes even months in smooth seasons. The Accursed mountains in the Albanian Alps range and the Beleg Mountain surrounding the small town served as a perfect escape for hikers and fans of rich blue skies and countryside. But the steep mountains were not always easiest to be climbed and Lumbardhi river made it sometimes rather difficult to cross over to the rocks.

This is why, the Kosovo Mountain Club reached over for support in building the ViA Ferrata Deçani, to allow the climbers safely climb and limit any fall.  The length of this ViA Ferrata, built in the Gorge of Deçan is 407m long and it is the 7th of its kind in Kosovo.
