Further development of the tourism strategy for Kosovo’s capital city Prishtina that complements investments in the city’s cultural infrastructure and protection of heritage is the object of a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 22 March 2018.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed by Swisscontact’s Promoting Private Sector Employment project manager Argjentina Grazhdani and the Mayor of Prishtina Shpend Ahmeti seeks to support the municipality for investing in the restoration of the cultural heritage, which incorporates the establishment of two new museums to promote Kosovo’s contemporary art.  

Through this memorandum, Swisscontact will collaborate with the Municipality of Prishtina to develop a tourism strategy, find models for efficient management of monuments, train guides and develop new tourism products, thus contributing in generating more income and new jobs.
