On 13 December 2017, Kosovo Minister of Trade and Industry Bajram Hasani and the Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo Patrick Etienne signed an agreement to continue the support of the Swiss Government for employment creation in the private sector in Kosovo.

“The main purpose of this grant is to create employment. We are committed to realizing this goal. We hope that the Swiss Government will continue its support for the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the people of Kosovo,” said Minister Hasani.

Through this agreement, some 7 million CHF will be used in the next four years to strengthen small and medium enterprises with a special focus on job creation. This goal is part of the mandate of the Promoting Private Sector Employment project. This project is part of the Swiss Government efforts to support the private sector development in Kosovo. It is implemented by Swisscontact, in partnership with Riinvest Institute.
