Showcasing a Growing Industry of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants

On 2 October 2017, 99 LULE company organized an open farm day on its premises.  Company owner Havushe Bunjaku opened the doors to other farmers, students and media to give them a first-hand look at how the operations are run.

There is a wide range of about 20 different plants that 99 LULE collects and processes for further various uses. Therefore, a constant supply of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) is crucial to the success of the company, and of the women farmers and collectors, now part of 99 LULE’s network.

Apart from facilitating information sharing about various MAPs, collection and processing methods, and uses, the open day provided an opportunity to showcase the growing industry of MAPs in Kosovo, while creating an educational opportunity for the high school students present.

The open days activity is supported by PPSE.
