Deçan is not only known for its outstanding mountain range and hiking routes, but also as the region of the only organically certified honey in Kosovo. Sadete Gecaj and her husband Metat have been keeping bees for years. Recently they received the the organic certification for their honey from bio.inspecta, making them the first and only organically certified honey producers in Kosovo.

Sadete has big plans for her business. She intends to start exporting the organic honey to EU countries. Promoting Private Sector Employment (PPSE) is helping her to create a modern and vibrant brand for her honey. The new branding identity will make her honey more distinguishable in the market and raise the profile of her product. 
PPSE supports the development of organically certified products in Kosovo. Organic certification increases the value of the products and attracts more costumers.
