On 9 – 12 February 2022, sixteen Kosovo businesses from the tourism sector present the country’s tourism offer at the EMITT fair, one of the top tourism and travel fairs in the world.
The Kosovo Tourism Union (KTU) has organized Kosovo’s participation at the EMITT – East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition, as part of its efforts to develop tourism in the country and promote Kosovo internationally as an attractive destination with a rich offer.
“Having in mind the effects of the pandemic on the tourism sector, Kosovo has a dire need to be promoted. This year too, as in the previous years, the KTU has organized the participation of Kosovo at the EMITT. Our country is represented by 16 businesses from the tourism sector, such as hotels, tour operators, and attraction sites,” says Baki Hoti, KTU Executive Director.
Mr. Hoti says that apart from the promotion side, Kosovo businesses will have B2B meetings with international tourism agencies. It is expected that these meetings shall result in further agreements and collaborations.
“We are thankful for the support of Swisscontact, namely the Promoting Private Sector Employment project, to have Kosovo businesses participate at this fair as exhibitors,” says Baki Hoti. Since 2014, Swisscontact collaborates with the private sector in Kosovo to improve the country’s tourism offer, improve the destination management, and promote Kosovo internationally.
The mission of the Kosovo Tourism Union is to boost and develop the tourism sector.
