Four organic non-wood forest products processors and exporters from Kosovo are exhibiting their range of products at BIOFACH, the world’s leading trade fair for organic food. The fair takes place from 14-17 February 2018 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The four Kosovo companies: Agroproduct Shpk, Hit-Flores Shpk, Eurofruti Shpk, Fungo LLC, consider participation at BIOFACH is of particular importance for their export strategy and vision. The fair provides opportunities for them to contact buyers and sales agents, which further enable the Kosovo companies to sell their products in the regional and European markets. Apart from the opportunity to exhibit products, trade fairs such as BIOFACH are an excellent market research instrument for companies seeking to expand into certified organic production. To this end, three other companies will visit the fair to gain an overview of market trends, demand, and competition.

“The trend of organic food and ingredients has already brought a shift in Kosovo, as it represents a huge potential for entering into organic food export markets and capturing a share of it,” says Faton Nagavci, Executive Director of ORGANIKA Association, “Kosovo may be a smaller producer than many other countries in the organic food sector but the high quality of its certified products delivered in good time ensures high demand,” he adds.  

The participation of these companies at BIOFACH fair was supported by the Kosovo Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, and the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency through the project Promoting Private Sector Employment and USAID Agro.
